Ajay Dayal joined Franklin Templeton as an Investment Director in August 2020 from Legg Mason Global Asset Management, following its acquisition by Franklin Templeton. Prior to this, he was a Managing Director, Head of Equity Product Specialist Group at Legg Mason, and has been with the overall business for over 13 years. He represents the equity and multi-asset capabilities at Specialist Investment Managers within Franklin Templeton to articulate and shape their investment solutions and ensure their technical insights and value propositions are clearly communicated with internal and external clients. His team has a clear focus on client-centric engagement across multiple mediums and client channels globally to help accelerate the sales process and effect client retention. Ajay has 20 years of professional investment experience, and has previously worked at ABN AMRO Asset Management, M&G Investments and Barings. He has a BA (Hons) in Economics from Durham University, England and holds the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) designation and a regular member of the CFA Society of the UK.
Andrzej is a fund manager in the Multi-Asset Funds team. His responsibilities cover the portfolio management and ongoing development of both institutional and retail multi-asset funds, including multi-factor funds. Prior to joining LGIM in July 2014, he was a fund manager at Aviva Investors. He is a CFA charterholder and completed the MSc programme in Finance at Bocconi University in Milan. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Social Science from Utrecht University.
Andy is a global porfolio manager of the Real Return strategy. Together with Aron Pataki and Suzanne Hutchins, Andy is responsible for the final capital allocation decisions on the strategy. Andy started his career ar Mercury Asset Management in 1993 as a unit trust dealer before joining the quant & derivaitives team to focus on managing synthetic portfolios for clients and trading equity derivatives for the firm. In 2006, Andy joined the multi-asset team at BlackRock where he was responsible for managing absolute and relative return mandates as well as the head of research specialising in equity thematic views and risk premia strategies. Andy has an MSc in Finance from Leicester University and is a CFA charterholder. Andy plays in a rock band in his spare time and enjoyes playing, writing and recording music.
Before joining Jupiter in 2015, Jason worked at Newton, where he headed the Asian equities team and managed a number of funds, including an Asian equity income fund from 2005 until 2015. Prior to this, Jason was responsible for stock selection and asset allocation in the Asia ex-Japan region for the BP Pension Fund. Jason began his investment career investing in the Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) region in 1993 at Henderson.
Leigh Himsworth joined Fidelity in 2014 and is portfolio manager of the Fidelity UK Opportunities Fund. Leigh’s career in the City began when he joined Rensburg (now part of Franklin Templeton) in 1995, before going on to hold various portfolio management positions at City Financial, Gartmore and Royal London Asset Management. He studied Law at Newcastle University and has an MBA from Bradford University School of Management.
Luke Barrs is Head of the Fundamental Equity Client Portfolio Management Team in EMEA at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Luke oversees the building of the Fundamental Equity franchise, drives business expansion, and communicates Fundamental Equity strategies to clients in EMEA. In his role as an Emerging Markets specialist, he is focused on helping clients gain appropriate access to emerging markets, as well as assisting with their strategic asset allocation decision making process. As part of this role, Luke worked closely with Jim O’Neill – creator of the BRIC, N-11 and Growth Markets concepts – and the Office of the Chairman within GSAM, helping launch GSAM's Growth Markets and N-11 Equity strategies. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management he received a first-class B.A. (Hons) in Economics & Management from Exeter College, University of Oxford. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2013.
Nicholas Ware is a Portfolio Manager at Janus Henderson Investors, a position he has held since 2018. Nicholas joined Henderson as a director of loans in 2009 and became a director of strategic fixed income in 2012. From 2005 to 2009, he was a senior portfolio analyst at credit hedge fund manager Highland Capital Management, where he helped build its European business. In 2004, he joined New Amsterdam Capital Management as a senior credit analyst. Prior to that, he worked at Ahli United Bank (UK) originating small and mid-market private equity transactions from 2002 to 2004. Nicholas spent 2000 to 2002 at SEB Merchant Bank originating senior and mezzanine transactions in the Nordic market. He was with Ford Credit, where he was responsible for establishing its subsidiary in Sweden, for two years before SEB Merchant Bank. He began his career in 1995 at PricewaterhouseCoopers and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Nick is a founding member of the Global Value Team in 2013. He is the co-fund manager of Schroder UK Income, Schroder UK Recovery and Schroder Global Recovery and Schroder Income. He started is career in 2001 within Schroders Pan European research team. He was previously an analyst responsible for a number of sectors including transport, metals, mining, aerospace and defense sectors. Nick is a Charted Financial Analyst and has a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Bristol University.
Patrick is a Director and Portfolio Manager in the Global Small Cap Equity team. Patrick joined the firm in 2004 as a member of the strategy team. Prior to this, Patrick worked as a consultant with Deloitte, specialising in Capital Markets. Patrick graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2001 with a BA (Hons) in Economics. He holds the IMC qualification and is a CFA charterholder.
Raheel has managed Artemis‘ ‘global emerging markets equity‘ strategy with Peter Saacke since its launch in April 2015. A Cambridge graduate in electrical engineering, he joined Fidelity International in 2002 as a quantitative analyst. In 2007 he was promoted to portfolio manager for a range of funds which grew to $2.5 billion. He moved to Fulcrum Asset Management in 2011. In 2014 Raheel joined Artemis to help Philip Wolstencroft and Peter manage the SmartGARP® funds and institutional mandates.
